Join us for an exclusive sneak peek into Chef Nini Nguyen's new cookbook, Đặc Biệt: An Extra-Special Vietnamese Cookbook. The evening will feature twists on traditional Vietnamese with nostalgic 70's Vietnamese sounds, curated cocktail pairings, and a chance to purchase a signed cookbook before it is available to the public. Menu highlights include caramelized pork in fish sauce, curry blackened fish, Vietnamese squash & shrimp soup, fried bananas with coconut ice cream, and more.

Nini will then sit down with mixologist and cocktail consultant Deniseea Head to share insights into her cookbook journey and recipes. Afterwards, she will host a Q&A and then will be available to personalize copies of her book. The Garden District Book Shop’s bar will be open for the event and serving up specialty cocktails inspired by the book. One drink ticket will be included with purchase of the book.
