Fried desserts bring back memories of summertime county fairs and blocks-long NYC street festivals. The smell of fried foods wafting through the air, my envy as I watch people with their oily paper plates and bags walk by, eyes darting down the street to pinpoint the stall this greasy goodness is coming from. To pay homage at home, I’m whipping up a couple of my favorite fried confections: cinnamon sugar churros and maple crullers.
